I wish we could get ILOK support for all the FXpansion products;It would save my nerves a lot of times, especially when in a pinch and for some reason a program gets unauthorized.I've lost many days worth of inspiration and $$$ due to this authorization debauchery.Here's how I see it:It's eaiser to install a cracked version of the plugin, than mess with the authorization manager, which is a separate program i first have to download and install.And if you haven't noticed, many other vendors now use the same type of brain-dead system.So. I have to download and install their authorization managers as well.Everytime my computer ID changes, i need to reauth a shitload of plugins.With ILOK i don't have to do that, nor with cracked plugs.With that said, I prefer ILOK to cracks, and cracks to authorization managers. While I'm not a fan of iLok's policies and sometimes they really mess stuff up (not often, but it has happened twice in the past couple of years) and the fact that if you lose your iLok and it's not covered (sometimes even if it is) you can be out alot of money.
That said, as a Pro Tools user I have to have iLoks anyway, and iLok is so much easier than having to deal with multiple authorization systems. And now that iLok has the option to place and keep track of authorizations directly to the computer, it would be nice to have the option.I know it's not going to happen, just my opinions.The FX License manager does a good job though, better than a lot of others, and the guys here respond quickly when you need more authorization, never had a problem with FX tech support. I absolutely refuse to buy a key just to use plugins I purchased a license for, but I hear not all require the USB key. Either way, I still find it insulting to punish paying customers when there are obviously better licensing authorizations out there. Is it worth it to deal with such a method, or is iLok not as bad as what the stories are? If there are so many unhappy customers, why do companies still use this method?
Wouldn't easier licensing encourage more sales? There are several plugins that I wouldn't hesitate to get if the iLok wasn't there.

ILok is actually pretty awesome as long as it works and you don't lose your key or break it. When you have multiple thousands of dollars of plugins from hundreds of companies, it would be very tedious to use a hundred different authorization systems and typing in SN and what not. With iLok, you can take your key to any computer, install the product (if not installed), and you are ready to record. The PluginAlliance system is also top notch and lets you use any usb key you want.

If you are going to be in music and/or video as your 'job' you will need an iLok, there are too many awesome plugins that are iLok only.I wouldn't mind if FXpansion went to an iLok or PA system, but their current system works flawlessly. No SN to type in, just login, and it will authorize everything in your account.BTW, iLok now has a Cloud option where you do not need a key, there is also a computer auth you can use, but this is determined by the manufacturer if they want to allow those methods. If you don't have an iLok, look for a plugin you want that comes with an iLok. Slate usually has these offers.
